New transaction Date screen

SUMMARY
When entering a New transaction manually the date always appears on 08/14/2025.  It doesn't advance to today's date

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Open an Account in the Ledger
2.  Enter a New transaction.  Transaction > New transaction
3. Observe Date field

OBSERVED RESULT

Date field is always 08/14/2025

EXPECTED RESULT

Date should be today

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Linux: Fedora 42

If you manually enter a transaction with today's date, does the next transaction you enter start with today's date or the other date?  New transactions generally start with the date of the most recent transaction which was entered.

You are correct.  The date changes to the last date I've entered.  This is working as you stated and I will close this "Bug".

BTW: Pressing the letter T takes you to today.
