SUMMARY

Digital inverter does not work in oscillator configuration

Connecting the output and input of a digital inverter and adding a capacitor between input and ground, the inverter reaches a stable state.
The physical circuit in such configuration should generate a clock signal on its output.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. in KTechLab create the above specified circuit
2. let the simulation run until there is practically no change in voltages/currents (the circuit will converge towards some values, never really reaching them)

OBSERVED RESULT
Voltage values in the circuit converge towards some values

EXPECTED RESULT
Voltage values produce oscillations in the circuit

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Neon
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15
Qt Version: 6.9.
