SUMMARY I regularly find myself avoiding using kdenlive ever any for export to a lossy format, since the export dialog appears to lack the vital render speed option. There is bitrate, sure, but even at a high bitrate I'll get an extremely low quality fast render, and not one where the is more CPU time spent on the same bitrate to encode more details. For ffmpeg, I believe this would e.g. correspond to ffmpeg VP9's -speed option. There also doesn't seem to be any option to switch between one pass and two pass for the average and constant bit rate options, and it's not clear from the UI which one will be used. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open Project > Render 2. Save a new render settings preset based on e.g. the Webm/VP9-Opus preset 3. Search for a way to adjust the render speed vs render quality trade-off, that isn't the bitrate quality switch OBSERVED RESULT The setting appears to be missing. EXPECTED RESULT The setting is available.
