SUMMARY Mouse acceleration profile changes when upgrading from X11 to Wayland. The problem is two-fold: 1. Switching from X11 to Wayland isn't transparent for the user: They will notice that mouse acceleration profile is different, although they didn't touch any settings. 2. As described in https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464868#c24, the current Mouse KCM doesn't provide settings to manually apply the same acceleration profile that was used in X11, at least if they were as follows in Mouse KCM on X11: * Pointer speed: 0.20 * Pointer acceleration: Enabled (checkbox ticked). SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 41 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.8.3 Kernel Version: 6.15.4-100.fc41.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 8 × Intel® Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHz Memory: 16 ГиБ of RAM (15.4 ГиБ usable) Graphics Processor 1: Intel® HD Graphics 530 Graphics Processor 2: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
What specifically changed? A setting in the KCM, or the custom acceleration profile you set on X11?
