Description Christoph Feck 2025-08-28 15:14:38 UTC
Steps to reproduce:
- open Dolphin or a KDE file dialog with the places panel
- make sure there is empty space below the list of place entries, e.g. by enlarging the window vertically, or by hiding some of the places or place groups
- click on a place entry
- move the mouse to the empty space below the places
- start dragging by pressing the left button and moving the mouse

Actual result
- the last selected item starts moving, despite the button not pressed on it.

Expected result:
- it should only be possible to initiate dragging an item by pressing it.

Additional information:
- When releasing the button still in the empty space, the dragged item is moved to the top of the places list, which is unexpected and causes the list of items to reorder unintentionally.

Can reproduce.
