SUMMARY
When trying to Replace Clip of images added through Add Clip or Folder, the dialog chooser has different file restrictions than Add Clip or Folder.

I have a folder of frames that I want to use in a video, and I want to skip the step of converting them to a video file beforehand. Different renders go into different folders. When I want the image sequence to use a different folder from a different rendering run, I should be able to Replace Clip.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have a folder of a bunch of images
2. click in the project bin > Add Clip of Folder
3. select all the images > ok
4. in the project bin, select that which was just created and Replace Clip...
5. observe that only one file/frame can be selected
6. (optional) do again but for Add Image Sequence, see the same result.

OBSERVED RESULT
Folder of frames is not able to be replaced

EXPECTED RESULT
The Open Replacement for $clip_name window would be the same window that was used to add clip or folder, or would at least allow for the same file selections.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Windows 11 Pro for Workstations 24H2
