SUMMARY
Sometimes I just leave Discover open to watch the progress but would like it to close itself automatically when actions are completed.

You're watching the updates progress, but once complete you want Discover to close automatically?

Can you not just click the 'X' and close it manually?

Shutdown on completion is useful for installing updates when you don't need to carry on using the PC, e.g. you're going to bed.
Restart on completion is useful for when you need to install updates but carry on using the PC, e.g. you're at work and installed updates while on your lunch break.

I'm not sure this is a particularly useful feature.

This is a wishlist bug, it doesn't need further info. It either gets accepted by the developers or rejected. It was also already confirmed by Nate.

Right. No need to be quite so proactive about closing bug reports, John. :)

I think it would be a useful feature. Auto-closing discover after installing the kind of updates that safely get applied on restart would be a nice a convenience feature, since the user may not be ready to restart yet.
