Description Adam Fontenot 2025-08-25 16:04:24 UTC
SUMMARY

Very recently (in 25.08?) Dolphin updated to start showing color folder options to change the folder icon from the context menu. I immediately went to the settings and disabled "set folder icon" in the context menu settings. But this didn't remove the icons from the context menu.

I discovered (while writing this bug report) that restarting Dolphin seemed to fix it.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to disable the folder icon options in Dolphin's context menu settings.

OBSERVED RESULT

No change. After restarting Dolphin, the service is removed from the context menu. Similarly, re-enabling the option required a restart.

EXPECTED RESULT

The item is removed from the context menu immediately.
