SUMMARY Currently, Spectacle screencast recordings only capture video, without the ability to include audio. For creating tutorials, demonstrations, or instructional videos, it is very important to have synchronized audio recording. The feature should allow: - Recording system (speaker) audio - Recording microphone input - Optionally, mixing both sources together Without this functionality, users have to rely on external tools to add narration or system sound, which complicates the workflow. Adding built-in audio recording support would make screencast creation much more effective and user-friendly. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Start a screencast recording in Spectacle. 2. Observe that there is no option to enable audio recording from speakers or microphone. OBSERVED RESULT An option to select audio sources (speakers, microphone, or both) and include them in the screencast recording. EXPECTED RESULT Only video is recorded, with no audio. I was going to raise a request for this too. There are no great tools for recording screen right now, in a way that I can create a hotkey for it and select a rectangle in a straightforward way. Spectacle does exactly that, but unfortunately it doesn't record the system audio (or any audio at all).
