Created attachment 184219 [details] OS scaling and timeline header icons. Hi, I've been seeing this behavior in my Kdenlive since a long time ago. At first I thought it was a general problem of the UI, but now I've realized it's something that has to do with how icons scale (or do not) when the (Windows?) interface is globally scaled. I'm using Windows 11 on a notebook, and the recommended scale settings for the OS UI is 125%, I find it pleasant, so that's what I've always used. One thing I've always noticed when using Kdenlive is that the track header icons in the Timeline were bigger than the rest of the icons in the UI. At first I didn't relate it to that OS scaling setting, but today, while seeing one of the sample images uploaded to Kdenlive website regarding the 25.08 release, I noticed that there the icons were smaller than what I'm used to see (and of the same size as the rest of the icons in the Timeline toolbar). So, I've gone through the process of trying all of the scaling values of the OS config and running Kdenlive each time, and I could see there's some kind of inconsistency in the way it handles the icons sizes with the different UI scaling values. The attached image shows what the Timeline header/toolbar icons look like with each scaling option (100% through 200%). Seeing this, it seems that the timeline header icons scale to follow exactly the OS scaling setting. The toolbar icons, on the other hand (and the rest of the UI icons), remain unchanged up until the OS scaling reaches 175%, and remain at the new increased size for the 200% value too. I feel the behavior of toolbar icons is much more sensible than the one of the track header icons, because increasing all icons size with each scaling step would take up much more screen real estate and it's not really necessary to understand what the icons depict. So it'd be great if the timeline header icons could behave in the same way as the rest of the icons in the UI. Thanks for listening!
