OBSERVED RESULT keyboard brightness control visibility intermittent EXPECTED RESULT Control should be available at all times not just after reboots SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma:Operating System: Solus 4.7 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.15.6-321.current (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 6 × Intel® Core™ i5-9400F CPU @ 2.90GHz Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (31.3 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Sometimes booting into windows then back to Linux makes the control visible. Control is not visible more than it is visible and lock screen doesn't turn off backlight when control is not visible.
If it's intermittent, this is going to be a system integration issue, not a KDE issue. Please bring it up to the Solus folks. Thanks!

How exactly would this be controlled at the distro level? Isn't this something that's shown if the hardware supports it and isn't if the hardware does not? How would a distro make this fail to show intermittently? As far as I know, Solus doesn't do anything that would affect this, there isn't much customization done at all.
