Created attachment 184091 [details] The output of "systemctl status sddm" before restarting it SUMMARY After an update SDDM no longer appears on boot, only a white dash is there. The only way to make it appear is to restart it yourself with systemctl. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux: 6.16.0-arch2-1 (64-bit) KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Reinstalling graphic drivers and SDDM did not help. Though nothing appears, "systemctl status sddm" states it has started successfully.

systemctl status sddm shows the service is enabled and running The logs look normal, and indicate a session was opened for user sddm Recategorizing as kwin for now since this might be a display related issue. I'd like to ask a few questions to narrow down what might be causing this. What appears on the screen when SDDM doesn't load? Do you see a mouse cursor at all or just a black screen? Does this happen if you try to log into a Wayland session or does it only happen with X11? Also, can you get journalctl logs beginning from the start of the login session and going until just after sddm fails to load? Thanks.
