Where is a save button?

SUMMARY
It is not obvious how to save a rename immediately. This caused like a minute of frustration on my part and losing my renames when I tried to go back to see if anything I touch is automatically saved.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Try to rename a device by typing something into the appropriate field.

OBSERVED RESULT
There is no save button!

EXPECTED RESULT
There is a save button.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Once you start typing, there appears a checkbox icon with tooltip "apply" that causes the save button to appear. Alternatively, save button appears when you press enter or when you click outside of the text field where one types the rename. I imagine it might be hard to know if anything has been typed yet, so that is why there is no save button. However, then I would epxect the save button to be there but greyed out. The ideal of course is that save button appears after I type my first letter.

(Is this a 15 minutes bug or is it burried too deep? It really frustrated me just a while ago.)

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Can confirm; this is a bit awkward.
