SUMMARY
When importing from Google Photos, it sems that there is a limit set to the number of albums that can be read.

Error transferring https://photoslibrary.googleapis.com/v1/albums?pageSize=50 - server replied: Too Many Requests

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Import
2. Import from Google Photos
3.

error and no import

Welcome to the great Google world, where we (digiKam team) do not have the fine control with the Google cloud. In fact, say hello to the Google limitations, if you don't use the Google web interface where ads are visible...

To resume, Google drop the right the API key used by digiKam each 2 months approximately. This is done by a F. AI stuff without any reason. We are not the only open source project faced by this kind of dysfunction. Google want money and don't care about open source more and more in time.
