SUMMARY When Do Not Disturb is activated, it disables all system notification sounds. If I shut my computer down before Do Not Disturb disables itself (e.g. overnight), when I turn it back on system sounds will still be muted even though DND has been deactivated. If DND disabled while the computer was on, system notification sounds would've been unmuted. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Ensure System Notifications are already on. 2. Enable Do Not Disturb, set it to disable sometime in the future. 3. Turn the computer off sometime before it deactivates, and turn it back on sometime after it deactivates. OBSERVED RESULT System Notifications don't unmute when the computer is turned back on after DND deactivates EXPECTED RESULT System Notifications unmute when the computer is turned back on after DND deactivates. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Arch Linux (rolling) KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.4 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.17.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I was able to reproduce this reliably in KDE Neon as well.
I guess we need to refresh the DND state on login to handle this case.
