krfb-virtualmonitor sets up a VNC server on a virtual display it creates. However that VNC server does not take input from the VNC client.

If that is added, it brings us a little closer to the big thing that krfb is missing, namely headless support. At least it would then be possible (I believe) to disable the primary (physical) monitor and enjoy a fully headless session.
