Created attachment 183827 [details] The resulting behavior. Note the application launcher overlapping the top bar SUMMARY When panels are set up with a top and side panel configuration (GNOME/Unity style), all widgets on the side bar when opened pad on the wrong portion of the monitor, acting as if the top bar was on the bottom of the screen. I'm using Application Menu as an example, but any widget (that pops out) works. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Add panel on the top 2. Add panel on the side 3. Add an application menu on the side panel 4. Open application menu OBSERVED RESULT Application menu does not respect the top panel's position, acting as if it is on the bottom. The application menu ends up overlapping the top panel if placed on the top (shown in attachment). EXPECTED RESULT Application menu is placed with enough padding to fit below the top panel, or lacks padding when placed on the bottom, respecting the top panel's position.
