SUMMARY Adding a new swatch with the + arrow icon in the "Palette" docker in a custom palette crashes the application after a short (2-3 seconds) period where the mouse plays the "loading wheel" animation. This occurs consistently in different files and persisted even after a computer restart. May or may not occur in built-in palettes as well, I don't know. I hope this isn't a duplicate report, I saw another report where their issue was a freeze, not a crash, and I'm not sure if it's the same or merely similar. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Edit an image with Krita. 2. Add the "Palette" docker to the main docker panel on the right. 3. Delete all preexisting swatch palettes. 4. Create a new palette with a name. 5. In this new palette, click on the arrow ("Add a new color swatch"). 6. Input a name and color. The swatch's group, ID, and whether or not it was marked as "spot color" had no effect on changing the outcome in my experience. 7. Click "OK" 8. Behold as the program stalls and closes itself almost instantly! OBSERVED RESULT Program crashes EXPECTED RESULT Program doesn't crash SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Windows: 10 macOS: (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window) Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE Plasma Version: KDE Frameworks Version: Qt Version: ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Sorry for lack of technical information like program versions and backtrace files; it's very complicated to me and I couldn't understand the guide page :(
Hi, thanks for the detailed report. I actually fixed this issue yesterday :) https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/commit/7a6aa07d20ca2d627ca2f52ae447fc0133f54295 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 507601 ***
