Created attachment 183731 [details] screenshot with a media frame widget showing an svg logo Dears, thank you for the media frame widget. I think it is nice to add some personal photos to the wallpaper and the frame around the picture helps photos to stand out. However, I would like to use the widget to add a branding logo, so that I do not have to alter all wallpapers individually. Also, it allows to use vector graphics for logo and achieve a better positioning through scripting with https://develop.kde.org/docs/plasma/scripting/ . However, the logo also stands out due to the frame. Can you please introduce an option in the media frame widget to disable any frame or background of the widget, so that I can just overlay SVGs on the wallpaper? I also noticed that the SVG is rendered blurry for no obvious reason. Check the attacked screenshot. Best, Robert
Thanks for the feature request. It's worth considering having a setting to remove the frame on the media widget for this use case, and others. This is a bug that's separate from the feature request above. Please open a new report for that and we can have a look. Thanks!
The Media Frame widget already has this feature, actually. Click-and-hold on it, or enter Edit mode and hover the pointer over it. A vertical toolbar will appear on the right side of the widget. One of the buttons is "Show background". It's a toggle button; click it and the frame and background will disappear!
