When I edit a file in gwenview and save it, it looks washed out. Unless the image gets converted to i.e. sRGB (which I think most apps default to?), it should parse the data.
Can you provide the file? That would be helpful.

I noticed that the: "colour_primaries_ICC_Description : Adobe RGB (1998)" is written to Image #2, which is the thumbnail, but not the actual image.
