Description codl 2025-08-01 18:18:05 UTC
SUMMARY
There is a compat issue between plasma browser integration's "enhanced multimedia controls" feature and funkwhale that causes the first played track to be skipped after a few seconds.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Ensure that Plasma browser integration and that multimedia controls and enhanced multimedia controls are enabled.
2. Head to any album or playlist on any funkwhale pod and play any track. An example of a publicly available funkwhale album that can be used for testing would be https://funkwhale.desmu.fr/library/albums/15
3. Click play on any track

OBSERVED RESULT
The track plays for a few seconds then funkwhale skips to the next track. The next track plays normally.

EXPECTED RESULT
The track plays from start to finish before moving on to the next track. This is what happens with plasma browser integration disabled, or with enhanced multimedia controls disabled in plasma browser integration.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Debian GNU/Linux 12, 13 (testing)
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.5, 6.3.6
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.103.0, 6.13.0
