Created attachment 183683 [details] plasma-discover backtrace while it is hanging SUMMARY Sometimes, when updates are available and I click on the updates icon in the system tray, Discover doesn't start. The plasma-discover process remains hanging in the background, so other attempts to start Discover also do nothing. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 0. Usually, this reproduces soon after the machine resumes from hibernation and there are updates available. 1. Wait until the updates icon appears on the system tray, indicating that updates are available. 2. Click on that icon. OBSERVED RESULT The Discover application appears in the task bar, but not the application window. After a few seconds, it disappears from the task bar. After that, `ps aux | fgrep discover` shows `/usr/bin/plasma-discover --mode update` is still running. If you then click on the updates icon in the system tray, Discover appears briefly in the task bar (quicker than the first time) and then disappears; no window is shown. If I kill the `plasma-discover` process and then click on the updates icon, Discover starts as expected. EXPECTED RESULT Discover should start.
