The bug appearing here, notice at the right of the panel

SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set panel to "fit content"
2. Open a window from anywhere but the panel
3. Close the window

OBSERVED RESULT
Panel icons squish to the side but a weird outline is left until you move the mouse over the panel

EXPECTED RESULT

The panel should resize normally without the icons squishing and an empty part appearing.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora 42
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.3
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I initially thought it was due to transparency but after checking it isnt.
I am on nvidia with the proprietary rpmfusion drivers (rtx 2060)

Can you confirm if this is X11 or wayland.
(and comment on that tooltip bug too)

I'm not able to replicate this on Plasma git-master or 6.4.3 with a panel configured the same way. I know I had seen this in the past on my system.

KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1

The git-master system has an integrated AMD GPU
The 6.4.3 system has an NVIDIA GPU with the proprietary drivers

What size is the panel? I tested with 42, 48 and 50. Some bugs in the past only presented with a specific panel size.

It seems to affect all panel sizes you mentioned

This is an NVIDIA GPU glitch. Others with NVIDIA GPUs had the same thing happening.

Please report this issue to the NVIDIA folks, either by sending an email to linux-bugs@nvidia.com or making a post at https://forums.developer.nvidia.com/c/gpu-graphics/linux. It would be helpful to the NVIDIA developers if you could run `nvidia-bug-report.sh` and attach the resulting file in your report. Thanks!
