Description Geoff King 2025-07-28 01:37:56 UTC
The Simulate Film filter for g'mic is not working.
The Category is shown, as is the Preset. These can be selected but do not select anything and do not interact with each other.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Select image, open editor, open G'Mic
2. Select Simulate Film
3. Select a Category, other than the first (Black & White). So select e.g Print Films (12)
4. The Preset dropdown does not change and there is not affect on the image. Although the Black & White Presets can be selected.
5. The other basic photo adjustments do work, like gamma, contrast, etc.

This also affects the Color Presets filter.
This happens on both mac and linux.

This is likely a Qt6 issue; signal/slots have changed, for example, in QComboBox. I think the issue needs to be reported to Qt-gmic.

It's probably already fixed in a more recent release of Gmic-Qt. I need to update the code in my own repo from github. We have already another file about a similar topic. Still in my TODO...

Look at bug 491687. This one is already fixed in the new Gmic-qt code. It's also a bad Qt6 port.
