Description Wilbur Jaywright 2025-07-21 13:52:26 UTC
SUMMARY
When I Ctrl+X files and folders inside Dolphin, they get greyed out to show that they are "cut" onto the clipboard. But, when I do this with files and folders on the desktop, the effect only lasts for one frame, and then the icon looks normal again.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Place any file on the desktop.
2. Select the file.
3. Press Ctrl+X

OBSERVED RESULT
The file icon turns grey for a moment, then goes back to normal.

EXPECTED RESULT
The file icon remains greyed out for as long as it is cut to the clipboard.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I think this grey-out didn't happen at all on desktop icons before, so we're making progress?
