Description Alex 2025-07-20 07:24:40 UTC
SUMMARY
When executing VOSK voice to speech translation, the output subtitles don't represent the voice in the track

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Load a voice track
2. Enable subtitles track
3. Download VOSK model (tested with vosk-model-small-en-us-0.15 40M and vosk-model-en-us-0.22 1.8G)
4. Set up model in Settings > Configure KDenLive > Plugins > Vosk option
Select model, install environment using button in GUI
5. Press apply and OK
6. On the subtitles track, select voice to speech button, and chose any option for source (entire project, selected clip, etc.)
7. Click Process

OBSERVED RESULT
On the subtitles track, small (half second) subtitles with no relation to the audio will appear

EXPECTED RESULT
Subtitles representing the voice in the audio track

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows: Windows 11 Home 10.0.26100 ARM64
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
There is no option to select the currently downloadable version 25.04.03 from the downloads website, this is the version where the bug was encountered.
NOTE: Reverting to 24.12.3 "fixes" the issue, reverting to what was in that version should fix it.

I am getting the same behaviour on Linux Mint with the FlatPak edition of 25.04.3

This is probably a duplicate of https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=503985 which was fixed in v25.08. Please try if the new release fixes it, otherwise feel free to re-open this ticket :)
