Created attachment 183368 [details] screenshot Amarok doesn't show album covers on the media player system tray
Thank you for the report! Can you verify if this is the case with embedded covers only? (That is, is cover art shown if you have manually set it for a track in Amarok?) If this is the case, then an earlier bug report on this is at https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357620 If no manually set cover art is visible either, then I'd like to verify if you are using flatpak version or one installed from the distribution package management?
This only happens with amarok, not with sayonara, as you can see from the screenshot that I attach. I was installing both players from source via the yay -S command on an arch-based distro.

Thank you for the extra details. Ok, so I assume that that is embedded coverart. Then this is a known bug in Amarok ( https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=357620 ); embedded coverart is not transmitted through mpris to media player widgets etc. Marking this report as duplicate in favour of the earlier one, but I'll try fixing the issue today. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 357620 ***
Thank you, looking forward for the update.
