STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. right-click on Plasma panel and choose "Add or manage widgets..."
2. click on "Application Dashboard"
3. exit edit mode
4. click on the widget added to Plasma panel

OBSERVED RESULT
Kicker opens

EXPECTED RESULT
Application Dashboard opens

Ah, I'm pretty sure this was fixed recently. Can you update and try again? It's working for me on today's git master, at least.

The bug persists on neon unstable.
