Thanks for the screen recording, I clearly see the difference in the icons on the desktop vs the icons in the Disks & Devices widget. Does this happen with other remote mounts in /etc/fstab or just nfs? I'm not able to replicate on Plasma 6.4.3 or git-master, with an nfs mount in /etc/fstab on Solus Whether I use Dolphin or command line to mount and unmount, the widget updates properly Unfortunately, I can't test on Neon Testing, my VM won't boot anymore after an update error, and a newly installed VM won't boot. I'll leave this open so others can try to replicate.

I don’t think udisks is related here since fstab is monitored via a different backend.
If you close the popup and re-open it again, do the items in there update? If you restart plasmashell, do the items in the popup update?
Closing and then re-opening the popup does not update the icon, but restarting Plasma by running "plasmashell --replace" does. Also clicking on the hamburger button of the popup and choosing another view mode updates the icon.
