Description karol 2025-07-17 18:01:36 UTC
SUMMARY
When I unpack files to a directory with files with the same names, a window appears asking if I want to overwrite them and the option to remember the choice. Unfortunately, after checking the "remember" box and clicking the overwrite button, the dialog box appears again for the next files.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. select multiple archive files
2. drag to the second panel
2. select "unpack" from the menu (the target folder must already have files with the same names as the ones being unpacked)
3. in the dialog box, check the remember choice option
4. click the overwrite button

OBSERVED RESULT
despite checking the remember option, the dialog box appears for each file

EXPECTED RESULT
the dialog box should only appear once if we check the remember option and perform the selected operation for each file without asking again

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: opensuse thumbleweed
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1

Karol, do you mean that, for example in https://bugsfiles.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=183075 , if you check "Apply to All" then that dialog box should not be seen again?
Comment 2 karol 2025-08-04 15:31:41 UTC
Yes, for this set of operations.
Comment 3 Toni Asensi Esteve 2025-08-10 21:27:53 UTC
Karol, that behavior is not caused by the source code of Krusader. Perhaps it will be more useful for you to go to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=506774
