Created attachment 183292 [details] Bug demonstration in KWrite and Kitty SUMMARY After quickly pressing Ctrl+Shift+V and then Enter multiple times in a row, sometimes one of the pressed keys will "stick". This is system-wide. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open any program (with a text field to have visual indication when the bug occurs). 2. Repeatedly press Ctrl+Shift+V and then Enter. 3. Observe the effect. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.16.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.15.5-200.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 12 × AMD Ryzen 5 7600X 6-Core Processor Memory: 32 GiB of RAM (30.9 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050
I'm not able to reproduce this in Plasma 6.4.3 or git-master Given that this is a race condition, I'll leave it open so others can try to reproduce
Thanks for testing. I have updated to Plasma 6.4.3 and also tried with another keyboard. Still can reproduce. Also, Ctrl+Shift+V+Enter are pressed almost at the same time, so the easiest way to reproduce is to just press all of them at the same time a bunch of times (I have no idea why I haven't worded it that way in original report).
I can't reproduce the issue in KWrite with current git master either. Can you reproduce the same issue with your hardware and a new clean user account?
(In reply to Nate Graham from comment #3) > Can you reproduce the same issue with your hardware and a new clean user > account? Thanks for testing. I can't reproduce on my current account, so fixed for me. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.18.0 Qt Version: 6.9.2 Kernel Version: 6.16.8-200.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit)
Great, thanks!
