SUMMARY Global menu disappears by time, if app was not launched by opening a file. -- Not sure what's causing the disappearance, just after some time it will happen, relaunching the app will solve but by time again, corresponding reports existed online, but this thread gives more inspection: Importantly, however, I've found that if we were launching an app (e.g. lo-writer) by clicking on any related files (e.g. odt file), such bug won't happen. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. From any file explorer or "Folder View Widget", open an existing personal file. 2. The global menu won't disappear by time. OBSERVED RESULT Otherwise, if you launch an app directly (with no file-to-open argument), and for a while for some mysterious reasons, the global menu disappears. EXPECTED RESULT Please inspect into the Global Menu Widget. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.12.34-1-MANJARO x64 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5, X11 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1
There were some global menu fixes in 6.4, please test if this problem still appears on 6.4.x
