# SUMMARY I am unable to reboot via the Plasma method (whether via QDBus or the Plasma Mobile notification flyout) in PMOS 25.06, despite `reboot` permitting this. # STEPS TO REPRODUCE - 1. Invoke the notification tray. 2. Press the "Shut down" entry. 3. Select "Restart". - `/usr/lib/qt6/bin/qdbus org.kde.Shutdown /Shutdown org.kde.Shutdown.logoutAndReboot` # OBSERVED RESULT - The GUI method always causes `coredumpctl` to record a crash. - `/usr/lib/qt6/bin/qdbus org.kde.Shutdown /Shutdown org.kde.Shutdown.logoutAndReboot` exists, because it would otherwise return an error. Instead, it silently fails. # EXPECTED RESULT It should reboot, as `reboot` does. # SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS > ~~~ > Operating System: postmarketOS > KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 > KDE Frameworks Version: 6.13.0 > Qt Version: 6.8.3 > Kernel Version: 6.15.0 > OS-Type: 64 > Processor: 2 × ARM Cortex-A77, 6 × Qualcomm Kryo 4xx/5xx Silver > Memory: 7.2 GiB > ~~~ # ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Reported downstream at https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/3824.

(Forget the ?)
(In reply to Florian RICHER from comment #3) I have GNOME Mobile installed now, so I can't test it. However, four days ago, I received a corroboration at https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/3824#note_491328 that this affects another user, so I suggest that you ask that user. Regardless, I was using 25.06, which remains the latest package selection, so I see no reason why this would be remediated without me being notified at the linked issue.
(In reply to Florian RICHER from comment #2) Apologies: I see what you mean by "latest" now. I haven't checked Edge. A little like how I presume that downgrading to 25.06 would be inconvenient for you, reinstalling with Plasma Mobile and Edge would be for me.

(In reply to Florian RICHER from comment #7) Per https://gitlab.postmarketos.org/postmarketOS/pmaports/-/issues/3824#note_492062, I'll close this as FIXED.
