SUMMARY When using the map on the time zone selector it is only possible to zoom by scrolling. This means that, when using a touchpad, pinch-to-zoom is not available. Pinch to zoom DOES work when opening the same map on the "Configure Digital Clock" window, so it is inconsistent. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Settings 2. Navigate to "Date & Time" and then "Time Zone" 3. Try to use pinch-to-zoom on a touchpad 4: Right click on digital clock and select "Configure" 5: Navigate to "Time Zones" and then "Add new" 6: Try to use pinch-to-zoom once again OBSERVED RESULT Pinch-to-zoom only works on "Configure digital clock" and not on System Settings EXPECTED RESULT The feature should work on either both dialogs or neither of them. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I have not tested this with other clock widgets beside the default digital clock.
This is something that has to be provided by QML's MapView, similarly to how it currently handles zooming through mouse wheel / scrolling.
if we want it (and I don't have strong opinions) it's on us to make a report upstream if none exist.
