Created attachment 183018 [details] Screenshot of report configeration box. I've upgraded to 5.2 today and exporting reports now has a field 'Price' I don't want, but cannot turn off. This is causing Power BI to fail importing the CSV file. For some reason the 'Amount' field is not importing, however, if I manually remove the 'price' column the import works is it did with version 5.1.3. It’s not catastrophic, but annoying enough for me to start experimenting with another financial package.
I understand from the report that there is a problem with the import into an external application. If the problem is due to the format of the generated file, please attach a csv file generated in this way for further inspection. If the file format is OK (which can be tested e.g. by importing into libreoffice or similar programs) and specific columns cannot be imported, the problem is probably due to the import filter of the application in question and is not a problem with kmymoney.
Created attachment 183162 [details] attachment-331268-0.html Hi Ralf, Thanks for your response, The exported CSV file is importable into MS Excel, if I remove the problem column then Power BI reads the file OK. The issue for me, is I can not save the CSV file without the 'price' column. And I do not want to go back and rework my Power BI stuff just because KMyMoney mandates a particular field entry. The earlier versions of KMyMoney worked fine. Created attachment 183530 [details] KMyMoney ScreenShot 26-07-2025.docx Hi, I've added some more screen shots of the issue, addached Word doc. In the report the 'Price' displays 1.000 - a bit meaningless. In the configeration screen the option to de-select 'price' is greyed out. Edward - when you reply to a bug by email please remove everything except your response as your entire email becomes the next comment, and extra inclusion of the previous comment makes the bug much harder to read. Please see https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=506692#c4 for how it looks. Regarding the bug - haven't there been changes in this area recently?
Created attachment 183730 [details] attachment-68676-0.html HI I've downloaded and installed the 1st August 2025 version. "kmymoney-5.2-4588-windows-cl-msvc2022-x86_64" No change the 'price' filter is still greyed out and is appearing on all reports as 1.000 agaist each transaction. Most anoying. When replying to a bug by email please send plain text only. The HTML version gets saved as an attachment to the bug. The forcing of the price column was intentional, but intended for a specific set of reports where it does make a difference. I don't know the code well enough to know how easy/hard it will be to allow deselection of that column when it doesn't actually contribute to the report. Perhaps this is best changed to a wishlist for allowing deselection of the "price" column, except when it contains information critical to the report (mainly such as values other than 1.0) but that is what might not be easy to determine without major changes to the report code.
