Created attachment 183011 [details] showcase SUMMARY Not able to click the panel icons with mouse on the edge of the screen after increasing panel height. I don't have default panel in the video, but I can reproduce with it too. Note that it's only reproducible only when the last action was to increase the panel (I can increase it by 2 and then decrease by 1 and it works) I have 4k monitor and I'm able to repro at all scaling options (tried 100, 150 and 200). I'm using Nvidia GPU with proprietary drivers. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Click on one of the panel icons while the mouse is on the edge of the screen - It should work 2. Increase panel height by 1 tick 3. Click on one of the panel icons while the mouse is on the edge of the screen - Now it doesn't work 4. You can increase panel height by 1 tick and decrease by 1 tick so it stays at the same height 5. Click on one of the panel icons while the mouse is on the edge of the screen - Now it works OBSERVED RESULT Not able to click the panel icons with mouse on the edge of the screen after increasing panel height. EXPECTED RESULT I am able to do it SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Operating System: Arch Linux KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.2 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.15.4-arch2-1 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland
I'm not able to reproduce this on git-master or Fedora 42 with Plasma 6.4.2 Frameworks 6.15.0 Qt 6.9.1 I tested with a panel at 42 pixels -> 44 and with 52 -> 54 I'll keep this open so someone else can hopefully reproduce it.
If you disable floating panel and set panel height between 40-43 or more then 44, the lower part of the panel treated like a desktop (allowing you to access the desktop menu via a right-click instead of the panel menu). Fedora 42 Plasma 6.4.2 Frameworks 6.15.0 Qt 6.9.1
On git-master, I set the panel to Floating disabled I set the size to 41px and then 42px I also observed that the bottom of the panel is treated the same as the desktop, it may be that clicks are being passed through or the geometry is not recognized properly Also reproduced in Plasma 6.4.2
Great catch; it seems like something goes wrong in panel positioning here. Let me see.
