Created attachment 182971 [details] Showcase of the bug. SUMMARY The context menu, on certain text, is in the wrong position. The widgets don't seem to be affected by this. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Open System Monitor. 2. Select 'Applications' or 'Process'. 3. Right click on any application/process. OBSERVED RESULT The context menu is in the bottom right corner of the window. EXPECTED RESULT The context menu should appear under the mouse. SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1

Oh. This is an X11 specific bug. I can get this to happen reliably in the x session. Does not happen in wayland. This will probably not get fixed any time soon, if at all. See https://pointieststick.com/2025/06/21/about-plasmas-x11-session/
Thanks for the comment, but I can reproduce it on Wayland. I can also reproduce it on KDE neon Testing Edition (neon-testing-20250701-0430.iso). This was done without changing any (system) settings. Oddly enough, I'm unable to reproduce this in my Fedora 42 VM.. Tried: Fedora 41(VM, different resolutions) and 42 (on hardware, 1080p), Neon live ISOs (both stable and testing , on VM, 1080p), Arch (VM, 1080p). I tried different scalings too. Does it happen on both monitors for you?
(In reply to Kat Pavlu from comment #7) > Does it happen on both monitors for you? Yes, it does. Disabling one of the two monitors makes no difference. Additionally, I can also reproduce this on my Thinkpad T400 (2009, Intel T9400 and single built-in display). But I found a way to get it to show under the correct position! 1. Open System Monitor and move to 2nd screen. 2. Open Dolphin on main monitor. 3. Right click on any application under Overview in System Monitor. 4. Click on Dolphin. 5. Right click on any application under Overview in System Monitor again. And now it displays at the correct position. I'm not sure why, but this only works if System Monitor is on the second screen.
