SUMMARY After the system-wide upgrade of GIMP to version 3 (3.0.4-3 actually), the print preview feature, necessary for management of image layout, has disappeared. There is only simple KDE print dialog window, lacking any serious features. This serious regression breaks the whole workflow of image printing, user can't control the output, including size and orientation of image. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Run GIMP 3 2. Open image to print 3. Select Print from menu OBSERVED RESULT watch the primitive print dialog appears. EXPECTED RESULT a window with image preview and print settings appear SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Linux (Manjaro, current) KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1
We cannot restore gimp's print preview dialog, that would be a change gimp side. We are not doing anything, gimp has changed. Our portal provides a print preview setting, please include a screenshot of what you're seeing/expecting.
