SUMMARY My issue cropped up out of nowhere. I have not tinkered with settings related to the notes widget, and highlighting, copying, and pasting proceeds normally on any other application (e.g. wikipedia articles, terminal text) STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Normal usage. The issue crops up when I click and drag, as I would for any other text display OBSERVED RESULT No highlighting No copying and pasting EXPECTED RESULT Highlighting Copying and pasting SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: 6.15.4-arch2-1 KDE Plasma Version: plasmashell 6.4.1 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION I'm on Wayland
I cannot reproduce. If you open the debug console for kwin (search kwin in krunner) does that show the clipboard correctly? Do you have any non-default settings in klipper (the clipboard management app)

Do you have any non-default settings in > klipper (the clipboard management app) The debug console has "clipboard" greyed out. Actually, multiple entries are greyed out on the kwin debug console. I tinker with my rc files frequently, but I do not havve a klipperrc file. All the files under /.local/share/klipper appear to be edited with updates. The only tinkering I've done with custom clipboard configurations was installing xclilp, which I think transfers data to the same clipboard used by klipper, but should not prevent klipper from operating normally, given it is geared toward transferring console outputs to the clipboard, rather than serving as the desktop environment's primary clipboard. The point might be moot anyway, I don't anticipate we'll get anywhere if I can't reproduce the issue either
