Description sogun 2025-06-26 09:57:59 UTC
SUMMARY
Filter preview window must allow less than 100% zoom as is offered since G'MIC inception.

G'MIC lists allowing less than 100% zoom values in its filter preview. However the window pane resizer icon can be pulled with the mouse only to a maximum of 100% SMALLNESS: smaller zoom values are impossible to reach. This is critical for ICON graphics creation as these tiny icons need to be previewed in SMALL size. Around 32x32 pixel, which was possible to be previewed in three years ago in 2-3+ year old G'MIC (not QT) releases, but not anymore.
Newer releases have only 100% Zoom or bigger preview. Doesn't matter if some GMIC filters glitch at LESS than 100% zoom, we need these fine zoom values "1%"---20%-----100% in 1%. Smooth zoom increments possible currently with the mouse, but only for larger than 100% preview window sizes.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Just draw something on canvas and start G'MIC QT for Krita
2. Grab the window pane divider icon with the mouse and try to pull it SMALLER than 100%
3. Please allow Less than 100% preview Zoom

OBSERVED RESULT
Newer G'MIC releases have only 100% Zoom or bigger not smaller than 100%:

EXPECTED RESULT
Please allow Less than 100% preview Zoom as it was coded in 2-3+ years ago.

I'm sorry, but this not something we handle: the gmic-qt gui plugin is developed by a third-party. You can report issues here: https://github.com/GreycLab/gmic-qt
