SUMMARY
Since updating to Plasma 6.4.1, changing the font used for the window title has no effect. This means that a seemingly random font is used and the desired configuration is ignored.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Change the window title font.

OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing happens.

EXPECTED RESULT
The selected font is used.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Linux/KDE Plasma: KDE neon
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.1
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0

Works for me with current git master on Wayland.

What does `grep activeFont ~/.config.kdeglobals` say after you change the font and then click Apply?

Are you saying this worked in 6.4.0 and broke with 6.4.1?

Does it happen on both X11 and Wayland, or only one?

I'm actually on 6.4.0, apologies.
This is the output of the command:
before: activeFont=Nimbus Sans L,11,-1,5,400,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1
after: activeFont=Museo Sans,11,-1,5,400,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,1,500
The font displayed is always the same (I think Noto Sans 9), and it is very small.

I realised that the issue might be different, and possibly not a bug. The system had some weird and whackadoodle problem with multiple screens, so I tried to restart KWin (on X11) from TTY3. It didn't fix the issue (opening the laptop's lid and closing it again did), but since everything worked correctly I just forgot I had restarted KWin that way. I have now restarted it again, but this time using KRunner, and the issue went away (i.e. fonts display correctly). Is this expected behaviour? In any case, I realise it's quite the corner case!

It sounds like you may have had multiple KWin instances running, and the one responsible for drawing the titlebar didn't notice the config file change because another one was already looking.

I'm assuming you can't reproduce this issue after a clean login, right?

That does not seem to the be case. I can reproduce by restarting KWin from a TTY and the bug is there even when killing KWin before starting it from the TTY.
