SUMMARY

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install the beta-version (https://ppa.launchpadcontent.net/kubuntu-ppa/beta/ubuntu/) of Plasma 6.4 on Kubuntu 15.04.

OBSERVED RESULT

With apps displayed on a certain virtual desktop, when klicking the app icon, task manager doesn't switch to the appropriate desktop but only changes the app from minimized to shown and vice versa.

EXPECTED RESULT

It should switch to the virtual desktop on which the app is running. And it should *not* change the visibility of the app.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Windows:
macOS:
(available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a terminal window)
Linux/KDE Plasma:
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.14.0
Qt Version: 6.8.3

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Comment 1 TraceyC 2025-06-25 20:57:59 UTC
Thanks for the bug report. I can't reproduce this on git-master, I see the expected behavior.
This also works as expected on Fedora 42, with
Plasma 6.4.0
KDE frameworks 6.15.0
Qt 6.9.1

Note: This requires the task manager to be set to show icons from all desktops
It may be that this is fixed in Frameworks 6.15.0

Are you truly running Kubuntu 15.04 or did you mean 25.04?

Omg, of course, I'm on 25.04! I'm really sorry, that was my first bug report, so I missed some things as it seems.

The task manager is set to show all tasks (nothing in the "show only tasks:"-section is selected).

I have updated to KDE Plasma Version 6.4.1 via the beta-repo. Frameworks are still 6.14, Qt-version 6.8.3, and the problem persists for me. Could indeed be that in frameworks 6.15 the bug is fixed, I'll see when that is released for me.

Sounds like a plan. I'll keep this in NEEDSINFO, so it sends us a reminder in two weeks.
