Created attachment 182586 [details] Screenshot SUMMARY I want to have the maximum screen area when running konsole. Therefore I run it with the following settings: Toolbars shown: none Remove titlebar and frame: yes Global menubar: autohide Task manager bar: autohide Tab bar: show when needed, on top Screen resolution: 2560x1600 When konsole is opened it fills the full screen When I open a second tab with CTRL+TAB the size of konsole is decreased by a few pixel lines and the background shines through at the bottom. STEPS TO REPRODUCE 1. Set up konsole as described above 2. Create a second tab. OBSERVED RESULT When I open a second tab with CTRL+TAB the size of konsole is decreased by a few pixel lines and the background shines through at the bottom. EXPECTED RESULT Creating a second tab should not change the displayed size of konsole SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS Linux/KDE Plasma: Ubuntu 25.10, 6.14.0-15-generic amd64 KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.5 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.8.3 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Profile ====== [Appearance] ColorScheme=Linux Font=DejaVu Sans Mono,16,-1,5,50,0,0,0,0,0 [General] Name=Profile 1 Parent=FALLBACK/ [Scrolling] HistoryMode=2
The bug also occurs for 'tab bar: show always'. The gap at the bottom increases for every additional tab opened.
The shrinking of the konsole window size at the bottom occurs even if the tab bar is shown on the left side and not on the top.
