4th step and resulting error message

On my Mac () I can't import photos from my Google Pixel 7a
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1.  Autodedect camera
2. Import

OBSERVED RESULT
Message: "Failed to connect to the camera..."
If I click retry either nothing happens or Digikam quits

EXPECTED RESULT
Import window filled with photos

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
macOS: Ventura 13.7.6
