STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open filemanager dolphin
2. Move to directory /home/user/workingspace
3. Create a new file / folder
4. Close filemanager dolphin again and all open applications on the workingspace

OBSERVED RESULT
Check now the Workingspace, the new folder / file dont appears


EXPECTED RESULT
The new created file/folder should appear on the desktop (workingspace)

Have you manually configured the desktop to show the contents of /home/$USER/workingspace? If not, then the behavior you're seeing is intentional.

It might help if you attached a screen recording that showed the problem happening.

Hello Nate

I didn't realize you could configure this manually. I just worked with the default settings and noticed this behavior.

In this case it is not a bug, but a feature :-)

I'll now go looking and see where in the settings I can influence this behavior.

So when you say "/home/user/workingspace", you mean "/home/$USER/[translation of "desktop"]? And when you create a file in there in Dolphin, it doesn't appear on the desktop in Plasma? Does it appear after you restart the computer?
