Application: plasmashell (5.27.5) Qt Version: 5.15.8 Frameworks Version: 5.103.0 Operating System: Linux 6.1.0-37-amd64 x86_64 Windowing System: Wayland Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) DrKonqi: 5.27.5 [CoredumpBackend] -- Information about the crash: When I right click the minecraft launcher icon in application launcher and choose edit application, the whole plasmashell crashes. Same occurs when I use the menu editor utility and choose minecraft launcher as the app to edit. This has not happened with any other application, all the others are editable normally. Plus, when trying to launch minecraft launcher I get a notification with "Launching Minecraft Launcher (Failed) execve: No such file or directory". This makes sense, as I figured out the .desktop file is at .local/share/applications/minecraft-launcher.desktop, and I have modified it previously with incorrect format. That made the launch of the app fail. I have fixed the .desktop file and all is good now, but I had to edit the file manually, which is fine for me but not for a rookie. I wonder why this caused the "edit application" menu to crash the shell though? The crash can be reproduced every time. -- Backtrace (Reduced): #5 __pthread_kill_implementation (threadid=<optimized out>, signo=signo@entry=6, no_tid=no_tid@entry=0) at ./nptl/pthread_kill.c:44 #6 0x00007fed672a9f4f in __pthread_kill_internal (signo=6, threadid=<optimized out>) at ./nptl/pthread_kill.c:78 #7 0x00007fed6725afb2 in __GI_raise (sig=sig@entry=6) at ../sysdeps/posix/raise.c:26 #8 0x00007fed67245472 in __GI_abort () at ./stdlib/abort.c:79 [...] #10 0x00007fed672b386a in malloc_printerr (str=str@entry=0x7fed673bb138 "double free or corruption (out)") at ./malloc/malloc.c:5660 Reported using DrKonqi

Thank you for the bug report! Debian advises users to not submit bugs upstream (https://www.debian.org/Bugs/Reporting), and Plasma 5.27.5 is no longer eligible for support or maintenance from KDE. It's possible that the issue exists only in Debian at this point. Could you report the bug to Debian using the report bug utility (https://packages.debian.org/stable/utils/reportbug)? If necessary, the maintainer of the package will forward the bug upstream. Thanks for understanding! Thanks again!
