Unfortunately there isn't enough information here to pointpoint where the problem may be.

Can you create a new clean user account with no customization and see if it happens there? If it does not, this would signal that the issue has been caused by some kind of customization in your normal user account. In this case, please try to identify what exactly it is by disabling customizations until you find the one that caused it.

Thanks!

Good afternoon, I have this happening on a clean system as well, and not only me. Is it possible that this is somehow related to Nvidia drivers, as those who have AMD or Intel graphics, there are no such problems.

I have a RX 7900 XTX and am suffering from this bug significantly every ~5 minutes or less a plasmashell freeze with no logs or information that really help me. It directly triggers by simply having OSD popup for volume changes or notifications (e.g. scrolling up/down on volume in systray or having "notifications" popup) or interacting with the taskbar or systray for me.

My entire desktop becomes unusable after it occurs, my taskbar is frozen, file system (via dolphin / kate) is unusable until plasmashell is restarted. This issue goes away the moment I move away from KDE.

I also tested with a new new user account and resulted in a freeze. After its frozen if I use Kate or Dolphin any "saved", "renamed" or "deleted" files will not occur or update until *AFTER* i have restarted plasmashell (pkill -9 plasmashell) but it doesn't directly halt it via terminal commands or tty and I can interact with running programs via alt-tab (but not the taskbar as its dead also)

Kernel: Linux 6.15.3-arch1-1
Uptime: 49 mins (Already had to reset it ~8 times IIRC)
Shell: bash 5.2.37
DE: KDE Plasma 6.4.1
WM: KWin (Wayland)
GPU 1: AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX [Discrete]
GPU 2: AMD Raphael [Integrated]
Memory: 8.09 GiB / 93.38 GiB (9%)
Swap: 5.96 MiB / 1024.00 MiB (1%)
