I noticed on some Intel computers up to 3rd generation Intel, as well as my secondary notebook that KinfoCenter does not correctly show the system rendering, it is shown using llvmpipe, but in the terminal as glxinfo it shows the Intel render! Below are the results! joserafael@Ibyte-Fly2:/var/home/joserafael$ sudo kinfo [sudo] senha para joserafael: Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.14.11-300.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: X11 Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz Memory: 8 GiB of RAM (7.7 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: llvmpipe ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ joserafael@Ibyte-Fly2:/var/home/joserafael$ glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer" OpenGL renderer string: Mesa Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000 (SNB GT2)
Has the system fallen back to software rendering? You can check by locking the screen; if the user avatar is a square, the system is using software rendering. On X11, do you have compositing disabled? If so, if you re-enable compositing, does the issue stop happening? Does this happen on Wayland too, or only on X11?

Plasma effects are working, and the photo is not square, I do not have an X11 session installed, I have not used Xorg since Plasma 5.22, a QA from Fedora, a colleague of mine, showed that it does not happen in his X11 session!

I noticed that using sudo kinfo says I'm using x11 session, but I haven't used x11 since plasma 5.22 joserafael@Ibyte-Fly2:/var/home/joserafael$ kinfo Operating System: Fedora Linux 42 KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.0 KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0 Qt Version: 6.9.1 Kernel Version: 6.14.11-300.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit) Graphics Platform: Wayland Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i5-2410M CPU @ 2.30GHz Memory: 8 GiB of RAM (7.7 GiB usable) Graphics Processor: llvmpipe
Don't do `sudo kinfo`; just regular old `kinfo` is good enough. Likewise, if you've been opening Info Center with sudo, don't do that.
