Description Natalie Clarius 2025-06-19 16:40:00 UTC
SUMMARY
I have made myself a light and dark wallpaper pair (with images/images_dark and a metadata.json) in ~.local/share/wallpapers. Since recently this is no longer shown among the available images, and not possible to add again, since the Add button only lets me select a file, not a folder.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create folder structure for a twilight wallpaper pair
2. Try to select it in the wallpaper KCM by using the "Add" button and navigating to the location

OBSERVED RESULT
Only single image files can be opened

EXPECTED RESULT
Some way of adding the wallpaper pair, or having it show up in the selection automatically if it lives in ~.local/share/wallpapers.

Can you attach your wallpaper package so I can give it a try here?
Comment 2 Natalie Clarius 2025-06-21 16:32:51 UTC
Not directly because the images are probably copyrighted, but I just realized I was partially wrong and it does indeed show up when it lives in that .local directory, there is just no working UI to add such a package from any location. But this is IIRC not new and perhaps too niche to considered a bug anyway, so I'm closing this.
