Description EpicTux123 2025-06-19 16:12:10 UTC
After Spectacle update in 6.4.0 version, opening the options menu "New Screenshot" or "New Recording" makes the cursor in the capture screen not as smooth. I can't quite say what is going on, but it doesn't feel as snappy as when the config menu is closed.

Operating System: Fedora Linux 42
KDE Plasma Version: 6.4.0
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.15.0
Qt Version: 6.9.1
Kernel Version: 6.14.11-300.fc42.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland

This also happens when taking screenshots too, not just when using the config sub-menus.

Can confirm; opening either of these menus seems to drop the effective refresh rate. I'm using a 120z screen, and while the menus are open, cursor movements feel like they're down to 60hz or less.

Unfortunately, I do not have a screen with more than 60Hz, so I do not see any drop in smoothness.
